Harvey the Hyena is helping me pack for Africa. Let's see... OFF! for the rainforest GIANT mosquitoes that may try to carry me away, rain gear for the days we'll be outside on Safari and the weather has other plans, sunscreen, a winter jacket for the -10 F degree nights camping and hiking up on Kilimanjaro. Sounds like a great vacation--Harvey Hyena is ready to roll! (I think I need a few more items before I can go!)

Hi Ms.Swartz when you get new students make sure you nag them.
ReplyDeleteLike make them capitalize their letters and at least use periods.I miss you.
Your Student,
Giana
I miss you too GG! I was at training to prepare for teaching my summer students yesterday. I'm going to teach them a math lesson. Since you all liked the pattern blocks, I'm going to teach them about tessellations and have them cut out different patterns with construction paper to arrange in the math notebooks we are bringing them. Di you know the famous artist M.C. Esher used tessellations in some of his work? You'd think they were really cool! I bet you could design your own. You and Austin can design your own book--here's a website that could give you some ideas. Have your mom google some artwork too to show you--it is right up your alley! :)
ReplyDeleteI promise to take lots of pictures and video for you so you can see the school. I have your pen pal letters already packed. Tell all my kids from our class I said "hi" and I hope you are having a dynamic summer!
